Build a focused shelf, one business at a time

A reader planning a mobile detailing service has different questions from a licensed electrician becoming an owner. Each guide concentrates on one business model, with specific decisions about equipment, pricing, customers, and daily operations. Choose titles that fit the work and small-business interests in your community rather than stocking every title at once.

Use special orders to serve a specific customer

Start with the customer's intended service, then open the matching book page to review the description and ISBN. The second-edition paperback has its own ISBN; earlier Amazon listings may show a different cover or author. Give your buyer the publisher-edition ISBN when placing the order through Ingram or your regular supplier.

Check commercial terms before committing shelf space

The current US list price is $19.99 per paperback. The publisher's US Ingram settings are a 40% wholesale discount and nonreturnable status. Your supplier confirms the actual account price, freight, availability, and delivery date. Nonreturnable stock needs a deliberate buying decision; a title being distributed through Ingram does not mean it is already stocked by another store.

Help a browser choose without overselling the book

  1. Ask which service they expect to provide and whether they are exploring or already working in the trade.
  2. Use the book's topic list to check that it covers the business questions they need to answer.
  3. Show the companion pricing calculator or startup worksheet as an example of how the guide can be used.
  4. Order by the exact paperback ISBN and confirm the supplier's edition and delivery estimate.

These are business planning guides. They do not confer a trade qualification or replace technical training, licensing, or local professional advice.
