About the companion
About Blue Collar BlueprintBooks are the guide. This is the workbench.
Blue Collar Blueprint is a practical business-book series and field-tool library for people starting and operating real service businesses.
How it is intended to work
Every Blue Collar Blueprint book is designed to stand on its own. The companion site adds reusable working tools: pricing models, job-costing worksheets, operating reviews, and forms that are easier to maintain online than in print.
Publisher and catalog
Blue Collar Blueprint publishes practical startup and operating guides for specific service businesses. The official series catalog is available on Amazon, and this site identifies which titles are currently available versus still in production.
The companion library is maintained alongside the series. Its author pages identify the writers attached to each title, its individual book pages link to the relevant Amazon listing when one is available, and its terms page discloses the Amazon Associate relationship used on those links.
Practical, not generic
The material is organized around the decisions an owner actually has to make: what to charge, how to calculate costs and margins, what to verify before taking paid work, and how to build repeatable operating routines. It is not a substitute for local rules or qualified advice.
Trade-specific companion packets
Each title can receive additional resources based on the actual work of that trade. The AV & Smart Home Integration packet is currently in development while firsthand operating experience is being organized for the revised book. It will not be represented as complete before that material is ready.
Keep local requirements local
Rules, permits, licensing, taxes, insurance, employment requirements, and technical standards vary by location and change over time. Use the tools to organize decisions, then verify requirements with the responsible agencies and qualified professionals.
